OK-N – Marchesi takes the win under the rain.
Nicolas Marchesi (Zanchi Motorsport – KR/TM Kart/MG) took a solid win as he managed to perform at his best and secure the victory on an asphalt surface slick with rain that began falling shortly after the start of the first segment of the race. The rain arrived just after the getaway, and following the restart, it was the Italian driver who imposed himself in the wet conditions, recovering five positions from his starting spot.
Finishing behind Marchesi were Riccardo Brangero (Marra 61 – KR/Iame) and another Zanchi Motorsport driver, Sebastiano Pavan, who put in a strong performance by recovering 14 positions. Pole-sitter Bartosz Grzywacz (Team Driver – KR/Iame) from Poland took fourth, while the Frenchman Lucas Bonhomme (Bonhomme – Tony Kart/Vortex) finished fifth.
Notable retirements included those of Federico Rossi (AKM Motorsport – Parolin/TM Kart) and last year’s winner, Manuel Scognamiglio (Pantano by DAM – Pantano/Iame). In the final laps, Cristian Blandino (Zanchi Motorsport – KR/TM Kart) also had to refire from the race following a spin while running in fifth place. Cristian Bertuca (Birelart Racing – Birelart/Iame/Vega) dominated the scene both on dry asphalt and in the wet, as seen in the final race of the day. Despite a difficult start—for which he received a 5-second penalty for a jump start—Bertuca immediately recovered, pulling away from his rivals to cross the finish line with an 11-second lead, effectively nullifying the penalty. Bertuca proved superior from qualifying through the heats, the Prefinal, and finally the Final, and for the third time Bertuca wins the Andrea Margutti Trophy.
Finishing behind him was the great Davide Forè (Formula K SRP – IPK/TM Kart), who at 52 years old remains one of the strongest drivers in KZ2, followed by Marco Tormen (Tormen – Pantano/TM Kart). Also securing top positions were the German driver Daniel Stell (Kartshop Ampfing – Birelart/TM Kart) in fourth place after an impressive 16-position comeback, and Alex Maragliano (CL Racing Team Renda – Birelart/TM Kart) in fifth.
